I just read on another challenge blog, Lotus Paperie, that Vanessa's received applications from Singapore for her new DT team. I wonder who that might be? Is it Veronica, Pearl or Wendy? Or Felicia or June? Good luck to you, whoever you are!!
No, I didn't apply for the position but I can tell you Vanessa has great challenges on her blog. I enjoyed myself as GDT in July, especially when she had inspirational pieces from posters and art then. :)

You don't have to use The Paper Element products on the challenge but it would be great if you did. Go take a look and give it a shot. Don't we all just love challenges and prizes? ;)

I did this one for myself celebrating the relationship between my daughter and I. Love the photo of us wearing the same t-shirt. :)
I used mostly Hambly overlays on this layout and tried to keep it quite clean. I love using flowers on my layout and this new Prima flower is just gorgeous. Just one beautiful big flower and you really don't need very much other embellishments.

A couple of days ago I received exciting news from Michele. I'm on the Design Team for Purple Onion Designs! I love her stamps and am really looking forward to creating with them. Michele has lined up a very talented group of designers on her team and I can't wait to see their creations. And a big congrats to Sharon Ong who's on the design team too. :)

This photo is of one of the buildings at The Tower of London. I wanted to try a simple grid format with this layout, something I hardly ever do. As I'm looking at the layout I'm thinking this could be a primary school math question: How many squares are there in this diagram? muahahaha!
Papers used are from The Paper Element's Heart Grown collection, Forever, Finally, Baby Boy and Journey. Stamps are from Purple Onion Designs and Melissa Francis. The grungeboard crown's from Tim Holtz.
This layout features the Sweet collection. The Paper Element has fun matching cardstock stickers with every one of their collections. This one featured words such as Special. Cute, Adorable, Wonderful. I decided I would make something my daughter could put up in her room as an inspiration piece. I altered a Maya Road chipboard butterfly and covered it with the cardstock stickers and added the words "You Are..." I hand drew the flourish following the butterfly for a little bit of whimsy and added in lots of glitter and bling. And for a last bit of inspiration included a quote from Henry David Thoreau.
This layout features more of the pretty pinks of the Sweet collection. Papers used are Queen Anne Cherries, Liquorice, Gumdrops.

This one, First Pointes, uses the very pretty pink Sweet line:
The layout is scraplifted from Aida at Made With Love.
And the second, Wonder, uses the Heart Grown line. Muted pastel shades of pink, blue and green which are perfect for scrapping children's photos:
Thanks for coming by!
